Female (from S Indian: off Rodriguez Is).Ce: forehead (lateral); P.md: mandibular palp; GntbMd: ganthobase of Md (partial); CP4: coxopod of P4. Nota: Cephalothorax about 3.4 times longer than urosome. Posterior corners of last thoracic segment wing-like (dorsal view), slightly asymmetrical, each with spine. Genital segment symmetrical, with moderate widening in nearly the midlength of segment, twice longer than wide and as long as 3 following segments together. Body surface with chitinous thickenings. Urosomal segments 2-3 with hairs. A1 nearly as long as cephalothorax, or body. Exopodite of P1 3-segmented. Endopodite of P2 2-segmented. Coxopodite of P4 with 21 spines (According to Sars, 1925, with 8-12 spines).

Female (from off Azores and Europa): 5, habitus (dorsal); 6, idem (lateral left side); 7, basipodal segment of P4. Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment with weak suture ( visible only in dorsal view), Th4 and Th5 separate. Endopodite of P2 distinctly articulated with suture well marked. Basipodal segment (= Coxa) of P4 with 12 thin spines on inner margin arranged in fan-shaped.
