Pseudochirella limata  Grice & Hulsemann, 1968   (F)
Ref.:
Grice & Hulsemann, 1968 (p.327, Descr.F, figs.F, tab.2); Markhaseva, 1989 (p.39, fig.F); 1996 (p.268, figs.F)
Species Pseudochirella limata - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : G.D. Grice & K. Hulsemann in Pacif. Sci., 1968, 22 (3). [p.326, Figs.20-25].
Female (from 30°59'S, 92°28'W): 20, 5th thoracic segment and genital segment (dorsal); 21, anterior end of the head (dorsal); 22, forehead (lateral); 23, 5th thoracic segment and urosome (lateral, right side); 24, 5th thoracic segment and genital segment (lateral, left side); 25, basipodal segments of P4.

Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment separated by fine line, 4th and 5th separate.
A1 23-segmented (segments 8 and 9, and 24 and 25 fused), reaching end of caudal rami.
Endopod of A2 2/3 length of exopod; exopod 7-segmented; outer lobe of terminal segment of endopod with 6 large and 1 small setae, inner lobe with 6 large and 3 small setae.
Posterior side of 1st basipodal segment of P4 equipped with row of 16 spines, decreasing in size toward inner side.
Posterolateral corners of last thoracic segment rounded, covering half length of genital segment; left one with very small spine (lateral view).

Species Pseudochirella limata - Plate 2 of morphological figuresIssued from : E.L. Markhaseva in USSR Acad. Sci., Zool. Inst., Explor. Fauna Seas. Marine Plankton, 1989, 41 (49). [p.52, Fig.11].
Female: Thoracic segment 5 and genital segment.
Nota from the key:
1 - Genital segment slightly asymmetrical.
2 - Thoracic posterior corners rounded.
3 - Thoracic posterior corners with small spine on the left (lateral view).
4 - Genital segment broadened in its anterior part (dorsal view).
5 - Coxopodite of P4 with 16 spines.

Complement Female after Markhaseva (1996, p.268): Posterior corners of last thoracic segment rounded, covering half length of genital segment; left one with very small spine (lateral view).
Genital segment with moderate ventral swelling (lateral view), nearly symmetrical (dorsal view), more widened anteriorly.
A1 reaching the end of caudal rami.
Exopodite of P1 incompletely 3-segmented (exopodal segments 2 and 3 incompletely separed).
Endopodite of P2 2-segmented.
Coxopodite of P4 with 16 not large spines.

Distribution map of Pseudochirella limata by geographical zones
Species Pseudochirella limata - Distribution map 2Issued from : E.L. Markhaseva in Issled. Fauny Morei, 1989, 41 (49). [p.58, Fig.15].
Geographical distribution of P. limata from literature.
Loc:
SE Pacif. (off Juan Fernandez Is.).

Type locality: 30°59'S, 92°28'W.
N: 1
Lg.:
(100) F: 7,33; {F: 7,33}
Rem.: For Grice & Hulsemann (1968, p.327) the species shows relationship to P. lobata (Sars), but in the latter species the 5th thoracic segment is more protruded and does not carry a spine, and the genital segment is widened distally instead of proximally.
