Nota Female: Large eye present on forehead, orang-pigmented. Rostrum simple, strong. A1 symmetrical, 18-segmented, barely reaching 1st pediger. Urosome 4-segmented. Anal segment telescoped into preceding somite. Genital double-somite symmetrical with paired gonopores. Caudal rami symmetrical, bearing 6 setae each.
Nota Male: Body as in female. Urosome 5-segmented. Left A1 and caudal rami as in female. Right A1 18-segmented, geniculate between segments 14-15, segments 14 and 15 each with distal margin expanded into spinular process. Mouthparts and legs P1-P4 as in female.

Anchialine pool. For Figueroa (2011, p.737) this species is similar to P. rubrocinctus from the Caribbean side of Panama, and P. steinitzi from the Red Sea.
