Distribution map of Paramisophria sinjinensis by geographical zones
|
| | | | | | Loc: | | | China Seas (Yellow Sea: Sinjindo Is., South Korea).
Type locality: 36°40'N, 126°08'E. | | | N: | 1 | | | Lg.: | | | (1159) M: 1,41; {M: 1,41} | | | Rem.: | For Lim & Min (2014, p.531) this species is distinguished from its congeners by the following combination of characteristics: Presence of 3 teeth on the gnathobase of the mandible ; absence of endopod on the male's left P5; hollowed inner distal margin of the male's 2nd exopodal segment of right P5; incomplete fusion of the 2nd and 3rd exopodal segments on male's right P5. The males of virtually all species of Paramisophria have an endopod on left P5, hence, the lack of this character in the new species can easily be used to distinguish it from almost all other species (except for P. cluthae T. Scott, 1897, and P. ovata Heinrich, 1996). | | | Last update : 05/02/2015 | |
