Ref.:
Dussart, 1986 (p.64, Descr. F,M, figs.F,M); Bradford-Grieve, 1999 b (p.147, figs.F, M, Rem.)
Species Parathalassius fagesi - Plate 1 of morphological figuresIssued from : B. Dussart in Cah. Biol. Mar., 1986, XXVII. [p.66, Fig. 8-13].
Female (from La Foa River, New Caledonia): 8, habitus (dorsal); 9, anal segment and caudal rami; 11, Exopod of P5; 12, detail of exopod of P5; 13, Endopod of P5.

Male: 10, P5.

Female characteristics: Cephalosome and 5 thoracic segments.
- Posterior corner of the last thoracic segment rounded.
- Genital segment slightly swollen, and pear-shaped, with dorsal and lateral hairs.
- Urosomal segments 2 and 3 cylindric, with spinules along the posterior borders, dorsally and laterally.
Caudal rami long, more than 5 times longer than wide; outer marginal setae long and located at midlength, terminal setae with subproximal articulation; dorsal seta (innermost) relatively short.
- A1 24-segmented, extending to the middle of the 5th thoracic segment, its last segment relatively long.
- Mxp slender and long

Species Parathalassius fagesi - Plate 2 of morphological figuresIssued from : B. Dussart in Cah. Biol. Mar., 1986, XXVII. [p.66].
Spines (E) and setae (S) formula on swimming legs P1 to P4 female and male, and right and left P5 male.

Species Parathalassius fagesi - Plate 3 of morphological figuresIssued from : B. Dussart in Cah. Biol. Mar., 1986, XXVII. [p.65, Fig. 1-7].
Male: 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, caudal rami; 3, urosome (dorsal); 4, P1; 5, Endopod of P2; 6, P3; 7, P4.

Nota: Cephalosome and pediger 1 separate, pedigers 4 and 5 partially fused dorsally.
- Urosomal segment 1 with posterior margin and surface without spinules, the three segments following (2-3-4) with spinules on their posterior borders.
- Anal segment with an operculum crescent-like.
- Caudal rami long, about 3 times as long as wide, hairs on the inner margin, outer seta located medially, terminal setae subequal, the outer slightly shorter.
- Right A1 22-segmented, geniculated between segments 18 and 19; extends about the posterior part of prosome .
