| | | | | | Syn.: | Augaptilus lucidus Esterly, 1911 (p.333, Descr.M, figs.M) | | | Ref.: | | | Sewell, 1948 (p.558, 563); Brodsky, 1950 (1967) (p.389, figs.M); Matthews, 1972 (p.56) | issued from : C.O. Esterly in Univ. Calif. Publs Zool., 1911, 6 (14). [Pl.26, Fig.7]. As Augaptilus lucidus. Male (from San Diego Region): 7, habitus (dorsal). Nota: Cephalothorax 5-segmented and densely covered with fine spines; three and three-fourths times the length of the urosome. Abdomen 5-segmented. Genital segment a little longer than the anal, the three middle segments of equal lengths, and their combined length is that of the 1st segment. Caudal rami as long as the 4th and 5th abdominal segments together. A1 reach a little beyond the posterior border of the 1st thoracic segment. Both rami of all the feet are 3-segmented, but the end segment of the endopod of P3 has 8 bristles, while that segment in the other pairs (except P5) has 6 bristles.

Distribution map of Centraugaptilus lucidus by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | NE Pacif. (San Diego) | | | N: | 1 | | | Lg.: | | | (143) M: 5,81; {M: 5,81} | | | Rem.: | sample from vertical haul : 0-100 m. After Esterly (1911, p.334) this species resembles Augaptilus (= Centraugaptilus) rattrayi T. Scott (1894) in the shape of the head. For M.W Johnson (1936, p.66) this species is closely allied to Centraugaptilus porcellus. | | | Last update : 11/07/2022 | |
