M : Grice & Hulsemann, 1965. | | | Ref.: | | | Hülsemann, 1967 (p.165, Rem.); Grice & Hulsemann, 1967 (p.18, 30, figs.F,M); Matthews, 1972 (p.28, Rem.); Tanaka & Omori, 1974 (p.241, Rem.); Vives & Shmeleva, 2007 (p.188, figs.F,M, Rem.)
| issued from : O. Tanaka in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1964, XII (1). [p.59, Fig.202]. As Euaugaptilus mixtus. Female: a, habitus (dorsal); b, forehead (left lateral side); c, urosome (dorsal); e, rostrum (frontal view); f, A2; g, masticatory edge of Md; h, Mx1; j, P5. Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 42:29:22:27 = 100.

issued from : G.D. Grice & K. Huisemann in Proc. U.S. natn. Mus., 1967, 122 (3583). [p.58, Figs.174-179]. Female (Indian Ocean): 174, Md (mandible palp); 175, Md (biting edge); 176, Mx1; 177, Mx2. Nota: The exopod of the mandible palpus is reduced and bears 4 setae; the endopod is represented by 1 seta. Male: 178, Md (biting edge); 179, Mx1. Nota: The mandible palpus is biramous. Mx2 number of setae on lobes 1-6 is 1, 1, 2, 3, 2, 3, respectively, and that on lobes 1-5 of Mxp is 1,3, 3, 2, 2, respectively. This male is identical to the one reported by Grice & Hulseman (1965) from the northeastern Atlantic Ocean.

Fauna SSSR, 1950, 35 (Israel Program for Scientific Translations, Jerusalem, 1967) [p.379, Fig.268]. As Euaugaptilus mixtus. Female (from Bering Sea): habitus (dorsal and lateral right side); forehead (lateral); M, Md (masticatory blade); Mx, Mx1 (inner masticatory lobe)); Ve, urosome (ventral); S1, P1; S5, P5. Distribution map of Euaugaptilus brodskyi by geographical zones
|
| | | | | | Loc: | | | W Indian., NW Pacif., Japan, off Sanriku, Bering Sea, Atlant. (Canary Is., Morocco-Mauritania), off Bermuda (Station "S"). | | | N: | 8 | | | Lg.: | | | (22) F: 6,6; M: 5,9; (67) F: 6,83; M: 3,33; (69) F: 4,7; (199) F: 4,48-3,95; {F: 3,95-6,83; M: 3,33-5,90} | | | Rem.: | Bathypelagic. Known to occur at depths below 1000 m after Matthews (1972, p.27). Sargasso Sea: 500-2000 m (Deevey & Brooks, 1977, Station "S"); the species resembles E. propinquus (? = E. mixtus) in general appearance. Tanaka & Omori consider the synonymy between this species and E. niveus as invalid. According to Hulsemann (1967, p.165) the species E. mixtus Brodsky (1950) must bi renamed E. brodskyi (nom. nov.), because the name was preoccupied by a species described by Sars (1905). For Itoh (1970 a, fig.2, from co-ordonates) the Itoh's index value from mandibular gnathobase = 1010 (as E. mixtus.
In ''affinis"" Group after Matthews (1972, p.64) {See remarks in Euaugaptilus genus}. | | | Last update : 03/01/2015 | |
