Distribution map of Euaugaptilus digitatus by geographical zones

| | | | | | Loc: | | | off W Bretagne, off Portugal, Madeira-Canary Is., off Mauritania, ? E Miami, Arabian Sea, Indonesia (Celebes Sea) | | | N: | 7 | | | Lg.: | | | (1) F: 6,9; ? (140) F: 8,8; (307) M: 6,7; {F: 6,9; M: 6,7} | | | Rem.: | bathypelagic. Known to occur at 900 m depth after Matthews (1972, p.29). Owre & Foyo (1967) provisionally assigned to E. digitatus Sars (1924-25) although it differs in size, length of A1 and in setation and digitation of the swimming legs. Sars stated that the filaments were very small and his illustrations do not depict rigidity. A1 are extraordinary long, 12.4 mm on the left and 13.0 mm on the right, extending posterior to the rami by 6-7 segments First occurrence in Indonesian waters by Matsuura & al. (2010).
In ''affinis"" Group after Matthews (1972, p.64) {See remarks in Euaugaptilus genus}. | | | Last update : 03/01/2015 | |
