[p.58, Figs.187-192]. Female: 187, habitus (dorsal); 188, idem (lateral right side); 189, Md (mandibular palp); 190, Md (biting edge); 191, Mx1; 192, P1. Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment separate, 4th and 5th fused. Rostral filaments slender. A1 exceeding end of furca by about last 3 segments. Mandible blade with 2 strong teeth, each with a small side tooth, and one large seta. 1st inner lobe of Mx1 with 4 spines; 2nd and 3rd inner lobes absent; fused 2nd basipodal segment and endopodal with 1 seta; exopod with 5 setae, the two terminal ones largest; external lobes with 5 setae, the middle one being the largest. Number of setae on lobes 1-6 in Mx2: 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, respectively. Mxp with 2 setae each on lobes 3-5.Abdomen 3-segmented, genital segment longer than the two following combined.

For Grice & Hulsemann (1967, p.32) this species resembles E. longiseta and E. curtus. It is distinguised from these by the structure of the Md, Mx1 and Mx2.
