Rem.: bathy-abyssopelagic. Known to occur at depths between 1000 and greater than 40000 m (Matthews, 1972). Sargasso Sea: 1500-2000 m (Deevey & Brooks, 1977, Station "S");
First occurrence in Indonesian waters by Matsuura & al. (2010).
