Euaugaptilus graciloides Brodsky, 1950 (F)
| | | | | | Ref.: | | | Brodsky, 1950 (1967) (p.381, figs.F, Rem.); Minoda, 1971 (p.41); Matthews, 1972 (p.32); Tanaka & Omori, 1974 (p.214, figs.F, Rem.) | issued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.216, Fig.11]. Female: a, forehead (lateral); b, idem (dorsal, rostral filaments underneath); c, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral left side); d, idem (dorsal); e, A2; f, Md; g, Mx1; h, Mx2; i, Mxp; j, P1; k, P2; l, P3; m, 3rd exopodal segment of P4; n, P5. Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 45:10:18:27 = 100. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 73:27. A1 extends beyond the end of the furca by 4 segments This species closely resembles E. gracilis, but is easily separated from it by the delicate rostral filaments and the absence of setae on the outer lobe in the Mx1.

Distribution map of Euaugaptilus graciloides by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | NW Pacif., Station Knot, Bering Sea, Japan (Izu, NE), Vancouver Is. | | | N: | 6 | | | Lg.: | | | (22) F: 6,4; (68) F: 6,7; (208) F: 6,5; {F: 6,40-6,70} | | | Rem.: | bathy-abyssopelagic. Recorded at a depth between 1000 and 4000 m (Matthews, 1972). For Brodsky, 1950 (1967) the species resembles E. gracilis Sars, but differs in the presence of lateral processes on the head and in structure of P5.
In ''affinis"" Group after Matthews (1972, p.64) {See remarks in Euaugaptilus genus}. | | | Last update : 03/01/2015
