Female (Cape verde Is. - Canarias Is.): a, habitus (dorsal); b, rostrum (ventral view); c, P1. Nota: The appendages of Sewell's specimen differ from those of Sars' in several aspects: the exopodite of P1 has 3 segments not 2, the mandibular palp and Mx1 and Mx2 differ in details of their setation. The present specimen show almost complete agreement with Sewell's account and if his copepodite is E. longicirrhus then the specimens described here are also this species. Male: d, habitus (dorsal); e, Md; f, Mx1; g, Mx2; h, P5. Bar Scale: 0.1mm unless indicated.
