Species Euaugaptilus niveus - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.240, Fig.21].
Female: a, forehead (lateral); b, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral left side); c, rostrum (frontal view); d, anal segment and furca (dorsal); e, A2; f, Md; g, Mx1; h, Mx2; i, Mxp; j, P1; k, exopod of P2; i, P5.
Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 43:10:18:29 = 100. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 77:23. A1 reaches the distal margin of the furca.

Species Euaugaptilus niveus - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.200, Fig.3,k].
Female: k, mandibular teeth.

Species Euaugaptilus niveus - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : G.D. Grice & K. Hulsemann in J. Zool., 1965, 146. [p.248, Fig.g-k]. As Euaugaptilus sp. With doubt.
Male (from NE Atlant.): g, habitus (dorsal); h, urosome (dorsal); i, right A1 (distal end); j, Md (cutting edge); k, P5.
Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment separated, 4th and 5th fused. Rostral filaments present. Left A1 (25-segmented) exceeding body by 2 or 3 segments; right A1 geniculate (21 free segments). Exopod of A2 8-segmented. Mandible blade obliquely cut with 2 large, 2 slender teeth and 1 seta. Mx1 with 9 setae on 1st inner lobe, 1seta on 2nd lobe; 1 on 2nd segment; 1 on 2nd basal segment and endopod; 4 on exopod; 6 on external lobe. Lobes of Mx2 with 1 seta and a short papilla, number of setae are 1, 2, 3, 2, 3, respectively. Endopods and exopods of P1-P4 3-segmented. Anal segment as long as the two preceding combined. 1 additional dorsal seta with inflated base on right furca.

Rem.: ? Cf. Euaugaptilus brodskyi.
Tanaka & Omori do not accept the synonymy and the (M) described by Grice & Hülsemann (1965, p.249) belongs to this species. For Tanaka & Omori (1974, p.241) E. niveus and E. brodskyi resemble each other in general appearance. However E. niveus is distinguished by the structure of Md and P5.
First occurrence in Indonesian waters by Matsuura & al. (2010).
