Ref.:
Grice & Hulsemann, 1967 (p.19, 35, Descr.F, figs.F); Matthews, 1972 (p.40); 1972 c (p.1035); Tanaka & Omori, 1974 (p.250, figs.F,M, Rem.); Vives & Shmeleva, 2007 (p.228, figs.F,M, Rem.)
Species Euaugaptilus rectus - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.251, Fig.27].
Female: a, forehead (lateral); b, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral left side); c, rostrum (frontal view); d, proximal part of A1; e, A2; f, Md; g, Mx1; h, Mx2; i, Mxp; j, P1; k, P5.
Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 51:13:18:18 = 100. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 80:20. A1 extends beyond the end of furca by 5 segments.

Male: l, P5. Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 23:14:14:11:12:26. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 79:21.

Species Euaugaptilus rectus - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.200, Fig.3,e].
Female: e, mandibular teeth.

Species Euaugaptilus rectus - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : G.D. Grice & K. Huisemann in Proc. U.S. natn. Mus., 1967, 122 (3583). [p.60, Figs.210-214].
Female (from Indian Ocean): 210, forehead (lateral); 211, urosome (dorsal); 212, Md (mandible blade); 213, Mx1; 214, P1.

Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment separate, 4th and 5th fused. Rostrum consisting of 2 short and stout cones, no rostral filaments. Exopod of A2 8-segmented. Md palpus with well-developed rami; blade obliquely terminated. Mx1 with 1 seta on 2nd inner lobe, no seta on 3rd inner lobe, 3 setae on fused 2nd basal segment and endopod, and 4 setae on exopod. Number of setae on lobes 1-6i n Mx2: 2, 1, 1, 3, 2, 3, respectively. Number of setae on lobes 1-5 of Mxp: 1, 3, 3, 2, 2, respectively.

For Grice & Hulsemann (1967, p.35) this species is similar to E. angustus (Sars), but differ by the rostrum and P1.
First occurrence in Indonesian waters by Matsuura & al. (2010).

In ''squamatus" Group after Matthews (1972, p.64) {See remarks in Euaugaptilus genus}.
