Remarks

epi-mesopelagic. Known to occur at a depth between 200 and 400 m, and above 200 m (Matthews, 1972).
Björnberg & al. (1981, p.606) do not cite this species in their inventory of the SW Atlantic species.
The female specimen from the Philippines noted by Wilson was not described and its identification seems doubtful.
