Species Pseudhaloptilus abbreviatus - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1964, XII (1). [p.87, Fig.217]. As Pachyptilus abreviatus.
Female: a, habitus (dorsal); b, forehead (left lateral side); c, last thoracic segment and urosome (left lateral side); d, rostrum (frontal view); e, Md (left); f, masticatory edge of right Md; g, 1st and 2nd lobes of Mx2; h, P1; i, P5.
Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 39:28:11:11:11 = 100. A1 extends to the distal margin of the genital somite. The specimen agrees well with Sars' description and figures except that the A1 is short, and in having more setae on the 1st lobe of Mx2.

Species Pseudhaloptilus abbreviatus - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : G.D. Grice & K. Huisemann in Proc. U.S. natn. Mus., 1967, 122 (3583). [p.62, Figs.241-247]. As Pachyptilus abbreviatus;
Female (from Indian Ocean): 241, habitus (dorsal); 242, idem (lateral left side); 243, Md (mandible palp); 244, Md (mandible blade; 245, idem (another view); 246 P1; 247, P5.

Species Pseudhaloptilus abbreviatus - Plate 3 of morphological figuresIssued from : G.O. Sars in Résult. Camp. Scient. Prince Albert I, 69, pls.1-127 (1924). [Pl.CXIII, figs.1-15]. As Pchyptilus abbreviatus.
Female: 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, idem (lateral left side); 3, rostrum; 4, labrum; 5, A2; 6, left Md; 7, right Md (masticatory edge); 8, Mx1; 9, Mx2; 10, Mxp; 11, P1; 12, P2; 13, P3; 14, P5; 15, urosome and caudal rami.

Species Pseudhaloptilus abbreviatus - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : J.M. Bradford-Grieve, E.L. Markhaseva & C.E.F. Rocha & B. Abiahy in South Atlantic Zooplankton, Edit. D. Boltovskoy. 1999. Vol.2. Copepoda. [p.1044, Fig. 7.280]. As Pachyptilus abbreviatus.
Female: Mx1.

Nota: A1 extends to posterior border of caudal rami.
None of setae on Mx2 and Mxp thickned more than remaining setae.
