Temorites intermedia (Deevey, 1973) (F) | |
| | | | | | Syn.: | Bathypontia intermedia Deevey, 1973 a (p.361, figs.F); Deevey & Brooks, 1977 (p.156, tab.2, Station "S") | | | Ref.: | | | Bradford-Grieve, 1999 b (p.21) | issued from : G.B. Deevey in Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash., 1973, 86, N°30. [p.362, Fig.1]. As Bathypontia intermedia. Female (from 32°10'N, 64°30'W): a, habitis (lateral); b, 4th and 5th thooracic segments and urosome (dorsal); c, A2; d, Md; e, Mx1; f, Mxp; g, P5. Scale bars in mm. Nota: Head and 1st horacic segment separate, 4th and 5th separate. 5th thoracic segment pointed in dorsal view, rounded laterally. Urosome about 30 % of cephalothorax length. Genital segment swollen ventrally, relatively long, as long as 2 following segments together, which are each of about the same length. Rostrum prominent. Endopodite of A2 slightly longer than exopodite, which is 6/7 the length of the endopodite. Mx1 with 10 fairly stiff setae of varying lengths on 1st inner lobe, 2nd and 3rd inner lobes and basis each with 1 seta, 8 setae on exopodite and 3 on outer lobe. P5 asymmetrical, basal segment slightly longer than 2nd segment, 3rd segment of right leg about twice as mong as 2nd segment, with distal spine as long as 2 distal segments, and a small distal external spine; distal segment of left leg slightly shorter, not twice as long as 2nd segment, apical spine slightly longer than 2 distal segments, and 2nd small extaernal spine set back from the tip of the distal segment about 1/3rd of the length of this segment. Caudal rami relatively long, as long as anal segment, with 3 caudal setae, the 2nd much longer than the others, and a 4th short inner seta.
