According to Steuer (1923, p.20) : Characteristics of Female: last thoracic segment (Th4-5) withs points about symmertical, large; Caudal seta 2 strongly elarged, not more llong than the others.
Characteristics of Male: last thoracic segment (Th4-5) naked; left P5 with basipod 2 and exopodite 1 fused; 18th segment of right A1 with geniculate proximal segment strongly depressed, distal paportion with a tooth.
Close to Paracartia africana.
