Paraeuchaeta bradyi  (With, 1915)   (F,M)
Syn.: Euchaete bradyi With, 1915 (p.182, Descr.F, figs.F);
Pareuchaeta bradyi : Sars, 1925 (p.118, figs.F); Rose, 1933 a (p.121, figs.F); Østvedt, 1955 (p.15: Table 3, p.68, fig.M);
Euchaeta bradyi Vervoort, 1957 (p.77); Mauchline, 1992 a (p.2); 1999 (n°182, p.8, figs.F,M)

Species Paraeuchaeta bradyi - Plate 1 of morphological figuresIssued from : G.O. Sars in Résult. Camp. Scient. Prince Albert I, 69, pls.1-127 (1924). [Pl.XXXII, figs.12-14]. As Pareuchaeta bradyi.
Female: 12, habitus (dorsal); 13, forehead (lateral); 14, genital somite (lateral left side).

Species Paraeuchaeta bradyi - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : J. Mauchline in ICES Ident. Leafl. Plankton, 1999, N°182. [p.3, Fig.2: 14a]. As Euchaeta bradyi.
Female (Northeast Atlantic): 14a, genital double-somite (left side).

Species Paraeuchaeta bradyi - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : J. Mauchline in ICES Ident. Leafl. Plankton, 1999, N°182. [p.4, Fig.3: 14b]. As Euchaeta bradyi.
Male (Northeast Atlantic): 14b, terminal two segments, exopodal segments of left P5.
Nota: Distal end of digitiform process not swollen; serrated lamella spoonshaped; distal part of serrated lamella square.

Species Paraeuchaeta bradyi - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : C. With in The Danish Ingolf-Expedition, 1915, III (4). [p.182, Text-Fig.53].
Female (from 68°27'N, 8°20'W): a-b, distal thoracic segment and genital segment (dorsal and lateral, respectively); c, genital area (ventral).
Nota: Prosome about 2.2 times as long as urosome.
Lateral corners rounded, with a heavy tuft of hairs. A1 extend somewhat beyond the end of the abdomen; segments 24-25 are 1.1 as long as segment 19.
Anterior surface of labrum with on each side, posteriorly, an area covered with fairly long hairs; this group is almost fused with a transverse row of rather short hairs, which, without interruption, is continued from right to left; the oral surface has in the lateral group 40-50 short spine-like hairs placed in a curved row.
Outer lobe of Mx1 with 2 short and 5 long setae; basipodite with 5 and endopod with 3 + 4 + 3 setae.
Articular line between exopod 1-2 of P1 indistinctly marked.
Proportional length between the abdominal somites 40: 25: 25.
ventral surface of the three last abdominal somites with a number of short delicate hairs.
Genital segment with a high ventral protuberance, without posterior process on the left side; genital area covered by the lateral flanges, in any case in front.

Probably related to P. barbata, but differs distinctly from it by the deep genital protuberance.

Species Paraeuchaeta bradyi - Plate 5 of morphological figuresissued from : O.-J. Østvedt in Hvalradets Skrifter, 1955, 40. [p.68, Fig.19]. As Pareuchaeta bradyi.
P5.

According to

According to Østvedt (1955, p.69) the number of eggs by sac is very small (from 5 to 8 eggs).
The locality records in the Pacific are to be confirmed.
First occurrence in Chilean waters by Hidalgo & al. (2010).
