Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii  Brodsky, 1955   (F)
Syn.: Pareuchaeta pavlovskii Brodsky, 1955 b (p.186, figs.F juv.5); Tanaka & Omori, 1967 (p.246, Rem.); 1968 (p.243, figs.F); Euchaeta pavlovskii : Grice & Hulsemann, 1968 (p.329)
Bradford & al., 1983 (p.23); Park, 1994 (p.320); 1995 (p.67, Rem.F, M, figs.F,M)
Species Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 1995, 29. [p.173, Fig.63];
Female: a, forehead (left side); b, urosome (left); c, d, genital somite (left, right, respectively); e, A2; f, Mx1 (first inner lobe separated), posterior; g, Mx2 (5th lobe and endopod separated), posterior; h, Mxp (coxa separated, coxa posterior, the rest anterior); i, P1 (anterior); j, P2 (anterior).

Nota: 1st inner lobe of Mx1 with 1+9+2 setae, 2nd inner lobe without a seta, 3rd inner lobe with 1 seta; basis with 5 setae, outermost of which smallest; 1st endopodal segment with 2 setae; exopod with 11 setae, proximalmost of which is smallest; outer lobe with 7 subequal setae plus 2 minute setae proximally.

Species Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 1995, 29. [p.174, Fig.64].
Male: a, forehead (left side); b, P1 (anterior); c, P2 (anterior); d, distal exopodal segments of 5th leg (anterior, tilted clockwise); e, idem (lateral, tilted clockwise); f, idem (medial, tilted counterclockwise); g, serrated lamella and digitiform process (anterior, yilted clockwise).

Species Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1968, XVI (4). [p244., Fig.14]. As Pareuchaeta pavlovskii.
Female: A, habitus (dorsal); B, forehead (lateral); C, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral right side); D, idem (dorsal); E, genital complex (ventral); F, Mx1; G, Mxp; H, exopod of P1; I, P2.
Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 38:23:20:4:15 = 100. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 70 to 30.

Species Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii - Plate 4 of morphological figuresParaeuchaeta pavlovskii Female.
1 - See key to species Groups and independent species of Paraeuchaeta (p.30).
2 - In Mx1 endopod , 1st segment with 2 setae (Fig.63-f).
3 - Basis of Mx1 with 5 setae (Fig.63-f). Genital flange with relatively short posterior lobe (Fig.63-c).
4 - In Mx1, 2nd inner lobe without a seta (Fig.6-f).

Species Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii - Plate 5 of morphological figuresIssued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 1995, 29. [p.173, Fig.63 f].
Female: portion of Mx1 endopod (1st segment arrowed)

Species Paraeuchaeta pavlovskii - Distribution map 2
Chart of 1996
Bering Sea, Kuril-Kamchatka, Japan (Izu region, Sagami Bay), SE Pacif. (off Juan Fernandez Is.), off British Columbia
N: 6
(3) F: 11,2-11; M: 9,1; (63) F: 11; (70) F: 11,6-11; {F: 11,00-11,60; M: 9,10}
Rem.: According to Tanaka & Omori (1967, p.246) this species is easily recognized by the short rostrum and the structure of P1 and P2. In P1 the outer terminal spine on the 2nd segment of the exopod is very short.
