issued from : H.S.J. Roe in Bull. British Mus. (Nat. Hist.) Zool., London, 1975, 28 (7). [p.305, Fig.5, n-p]. Female (Cape verde Islands): n, habitus (dorsal); o, rostrum (frontal view); p; hind margin of cephalothorax (right lateral side). Bar scale 0.1 mm unless indicated. Nota: The present females agree with Bradford's (1969) account except for slight differences in the cephalothorax; the notch between the rostral points is more rounded and the shoulders on the head are more pointed (in some specimens they are almost hook-like).
Aetideopsis carinata female. 1 - Endopod of P1 with external lobe. 2 - Posterior corners of last thoracic segment wing-like, divergent (dorsal view). Genital segment (dorsal view) with lateral swellings.
Aetideopsis carinata male. 1 - Points of last thoracic segment reaching posterior border of urosomal segment 1. 2 - Endopod of P1 with external lobe. 3 - Rostral rami widely spaced, divergent. 4 - External spine of exopod of P1 with external spine reaching the base of next spine; spine of 2nd exopodal segment reaching the middle length of next segment.
