Distribution of Paraeuchaeta russelli abundance (ind/m3) during August 31 to September 3, 1988 (a); August 29 to September 8, 1994 (b); July 4 to 15, 2005 (c); and June 20 to July 2, 2006 (d).

Nota: The same sampling procedure was used for all cruises. Zooplankton samples were collected by vertical tows from 3 m of the bottom to the surface (plankton net : 505 µm mesh size).
The aim of the research is the relationship between copepods and associated water masses in the southern Taiwan Strait.

The mean female size is 3.759 mm (n = 17; SD = 0.3537), and the mean male size is 3.513 mm (n = 14; SD = 0.2411). The size ratio (male : female) is 0.929 (n = 7; SD = 0.2650) or ± 93 %.
Rem.: epi-mesopelagic.
For Itoh (1970 a, fig.2, from co-ordonates) the Itoh's index value of the mandibular gnathobase = 850.
