Park, 2000 (p.99, figs.F,M, Rem.)
Species Heterorhabdus ankylocolus - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 2000, 31. [p.219, Fig.67].
Female: a, urosome (left side); b, c, d, genital somite (dorsal, left, ventral, respectively).

Male: e, left P5 (endopod omitted), anterior; f, exopod of left P5 (anterior); g, right P5 (distal exopodal segments omitted), anterior; h, right P5 (endopod omitted), posterior; i, exopod of right P5 (anterior); j, distal end of exopod of right P5 (lateral).

Species Heterorhabdus ankylocolus - Plate 2 of morphological figuresHeterorhabdus ankylocolus female:
1 - See key to species groups of Heterorhabdus: ''spinifrons'' Group (p.90, 91).
2 - Forehead with a spiniform process.
3 - Anterior wall of genital proninence with a pair of rounded lobes (Fig.67-c, d).
4 - Genital prominence short of reaching posterior end of somite. Endopod of Mx1 with 3 setae.
5 - Genital prominence without posterior lobes (Fig.67-c).

Species Heterorhabdus ankylocolus - Plate 3 of morphological figuresHeterorhabdus ankylococus male:
1 - See key to species groups of Heterorhabdus: ''spinifrons'' Group (p.90, 91).
2 - Forehead with a spiniform process.
3 - In right P5, basal inner lobe relatively long and somewhat fingerlike, medial projection of 2nd exopodal segment (Fig.67-h) with small terminal spiniform process and relatively well developed distal lobe.
4 - Basal inner lobe of right P5 (Fig.67-g) almost as long as segment, pointing distomediad. Endopod of Mx1 with 3 seta.
5 - 2nd exopodal segment of left P5 (Fig.67-e) with outer spine shorter than conical process. Terminal spine of 3rd exopodal segment of right P5 about 1/3 length of segment (Fig.67-i).
6 - Lateral margin of 3rd exopodal segment of right P5 (Fig.67-h) strongly elbowed about 1/5 length of segment from distal end.
