 Batheuchaeta peculiaris female: 1 - Genital segment strongly asymmetrical, with deep excavation in the middle of left side (dorsal view). 2 - Left side of the last thoracic segment with pocket-like projection.

 Batheuchaeta peculiaris male: 1 - Exopodal segment 2 of P2 anterior surface with a row of minute denticles near the base of external spine. Denticles of endopodal segment 1 of P1 external lobe arranged apically. 2 - Left endopod of P5 with excavation, bilobated. 3 - Left endopod of P5 excavation not deeply concave, dividing endopod plate into 2 short lobes.
