Female (from South China Sea): 62, habitus (dorsal); 63, abdomen (lateral right side); 64, Mxp (basal part); 65, P1; 66, P2; 67, P3; 68, P3 (posterior surface); 69, P5.
Nota: 2nd abdominal segment very short, being usually overlapped by the preceding segment. Anal segment slightly expanded laterally and bearing ventrally a bundle of long and fine setae. Caudal ramus slightly longer than broad. A1 24-segmented, about twice as long as body, the terminal segment about twice as long as the two preceding segments taken together. Mxp 7-segmented, 2nd segment provided on the inner border with 3 plumose setae and 11 teeth of unequal lengths. Endopods 2 and 3 of P3 and P4 provided each with 2 spinules on the posterior surface. P5 uniramous and symmetrical, segment 3 with a transverse line of spinules near the distal end and a long single spine at the apex.

Male: 70, habitus (dorsal); 71, P5.
Nota: Prosome about 4.5 times as long as urosome. Abdomen 5-segmented. Caudal ramus about 1.5 times as long as broad. P5 asymmetrical; left foot 5-segmented; right foot 4-segmented, segment 4 with a minute denticle interposed between the two terminal spines, the inner one very long, about as long as the segments 2-4 taken together

Rem.: For Chen & Zhang (1974, p.116) this species is a tropical species occurring abundantly in surface coastal waters all the year round, ranging from the Hsi-sha Islands to the eastern Kwangtung.
