Labidocera diandra Fleminger, 1967 (F,M) | |
| | | | | | Ref.: | | | Fleminger, 1967 (p.16, figs.F,M); 1975 (p.401 & suiv.) | issued from : A. Fleminger in Proc. U.S. natn Mus., 1967, 120 (3567). [p.18, Fig.6]. Female (from 24°14'N, 111°18'W): a, right Md (cutting edge); b, P5 (posterior); c, cephalosome (right lateral); d, habitus (dorsal); e, last thoracic segments and urosome (left side); f, same (right side); g, same with spermatophore (right side); h, same (dorsal).
issued from : A. Fleminger in Proc. U.S. natn Mus., 1967, 120 (3567). [p.20, Fig.7]. Male (morph A): a, right A1; b, dentition of fusion segment 19-21; c, last thoracic segments and urosome with P5 (right side); d, P5 (posterior); e, terminal segment of left P5 (lateral view); g, P3 (posterior); h, chela of P5 (anterior view).
issued from : A. Fleminger in Proc. U.S. natn Mus., 1967, 120 (3567). [p.21, Fig.8]. male (morph 2): a, right A1 (dorsal view); b, posterior portion of body (right side); c, cephalosome (right side); d, P5 (posterior); e, chela of P5 (lateral view); f, left P5 (lateral view); g, terminal segment of left P5 (ventral surface); h, chela of P5 (medial view); i, P3 (posterior; j, last thoracic segments and urosome with P5 (dorsal) k, forehead (dorsal). Nota: Morph A differs from morph B in details of the right A1 and chela of right P5.
issued from : A. Fleminger in Proc. U.S. natn Mus., 1967, 120 (3567). [p.21, Fig.8, l]. Copépdite stage V: l, forehead (dorsal). Nota: head-hooks were seen in all immature copepodites from stages II to V (Secondary loss of head-hooks in the mature stage). Remarks (p.30) The presence or absence of head-hooks in pontellids, and sepecially in Labodocera, has been widely regarded as a feature of considerable taxonomic significance. Obviously, if head-hooks can vary in occurrence intraspecifically, their usefulness to phylogeny hinges upon a thorough survey of all species in the genus.
