Forehead forms a prominent bulge terminating below in a pair of long retrorse rostral spines; there is no rostral lens but a ventral lens is present. Side hooks absent. Abdomen 2-segmented, the 2th is very short. Caudal rami symmetrical, setae of practically equal length. A1 21-segmented (segments 7-8 fused, 10-11 partially fused) reach nearly to the end of the abdomen.; the distal part of segment 2 and segments 3 to 14 fringed posteriorly with long hair. Mxp armed with a row of fine teeth down the margin of the 2nd basal segment. All exopodal segments fringed with fine hair. Male: 6, habitus (lateral left side); 7, A1; 8, right P5; 9, left P5. Nota: Rostrum as the female, without lenses, a well-developed ventral lens present. Abdomen 5-segmented, 5th very small. Caudal rami symmetrical. Proportional lengths urosomites and caudal rami as 5:6:6:4:1:6. Right A1 with the 17th segment bearing a prominent crest, which terminates distally in a sharp point, 18th segment armed with a toothed-plate, the teeth are lancet shaped and are larger in the centre, the 19th-21th segments bear a toothed plate, which extends nearly the whole length of the segment, and the 22nd segment is produced distally in a sharp process which extends nearly the whole length of the succeeding segment. Right P5 forms a grasping organ; left P5 has a short terminal segment, which bears a spine on its external margin and has and has 3 terminal processes, its inner border is thickly fringed with hair; the peultimate segment bears a terminal spine at its distal external angle.
