Female (32°10'N, 64°30'W): a, A1; b-c, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); d, Md; e, Mxp (endopod setae not shown); f, A2; g, Mx1. Scale at left center for parts a-e; at lower right for parts d-g. Scales in mm. Head and 1st thoracic segment separate. Urosome about 84 % of cephalothorax length. A1 23-segmented, approximately to end of caudal setae. Endopod of A2 about 2/3 the length of exopod. Mx2 short and stumpy. 1st basipod segment of Mxp with a distal protrusion bearing 1 plumose seta.

 Chiridiella brooksi female: 1 - Mx2 with 5 endites. 2 - Mx2 strongly modified in comparison with typical; first-fifth endites of varying size; Setation is not typical, some number of setae on third-fifth endites transformed into pincers-like spines. 3 - Setae of third and fourth endites of Mx2 arranged like pincers. 4 - Exopod of P1 with 1 external spine. A1 longer than body.
