Issued from : O. Tanaka in Japanese J. Zool., 1937, VII, 13. [p.260, Fig.10]. As Scolecithricella abyssalis specimen mutilated. Female (from coast of Heda, Japan): a, urosome; b, distal part of Mx2; c, P5. Nota: A1 21-segmented; segments 8-9-10, 20-21 and 24-25 fused. Terminal segment of Mx2 bears 3 long vermiform filaments and 5 amalliform setae. Mxp small; 1st basal segment carries, besides usual setae, 2 vermiform filaments and 1 amalliform seta. P5 similar to the figure given by Giesbrecht (1892) for S. abyssalis, but the small spine on the middle of the outer margin of the segment was not observed on the left leg. Remark from C.R.: Note also the difference in the shape of the outer margin.
