a, Mx2; b, Mxp; c, P1 (posterior aspect).

- Mx2 with 4 inner lobes (= endites) of which the distal one is the longest, furnished with 1 strong spine, 1 slender one and 1 worm-like sensory filament. Endopod furnished with 9 sensory filaments of which the middle 4 are bud-like (fig.3a).
- Mxp well developed; basal segments of about equal lengths; 1st basal segment with a bud-like sensory filament on the inner margin about the middle of the segment; 4th and 5th segments of endopod with each 1 outer marginal seta.
- P1 exopod 3-segmented, endopod 1-segmented. 1st exopodal segment devoid of outer edge spine; 2nd basal (= basis) segment furnished with 2 groups of minute spinules on posterior surface.

Espèce Scolecithricella vespertina - Planche 4 de figures morphologiquesissued from : O. Tanaka in Rec. oceanogr. Wks Japan, 1955, 2 (1). [p.119, Fig.4].
Female: a, P2 (anterior aspect); b, P3 (idem); c, P4 (idem); d, P5.

- P2 exopod 3-segmented, endopod 3-segmented; coxa with small spines on the proximal outer margin and a row of minute spinules on posterior surface about the middle of segment; inner distal margin of basis ptoduced into an acute angle; 1st exopodal segment with the outer edge spine reaching the middle of the 2nd segment of exopodite.; posterior surface of the segment furnished with a longitudinal row of spinules; 2nd exopodal segment with a strong outer edge spine which extends to the middle of the proximal outer edge spine of the 3rd segment.; posterior surface of the segment furnished with 2 rows of spinules; the 3rd exopodal segment with 3 outer marginal spines; terminal spine finely serrated, number of teeth about 40; posterior surface of the 3rd segment furnished with 4 transverse rows of spinules. Endopodite broad; 1st segment pointed at the distal outer edge; 2nd segment with 6 remarkable spines on the anterior surface and a longitudinal row of minute spinules on posterior surface.
- P3 exopod and endopod 3-segmented each; coxa with a row of spines on proximal outer margin; posterior surface furnished with groups of spinules; inner marginal seta short; 2nd and 3rd exopodal segments furnished with rows of minute spinules on posterior surface; 2nd and 3rd endopodal segments each furnished with remarkable spines on anterior surface, and with a longitudinal row of minute spinules on posterior surface.
- P4 similar structure as in P3; outer margin of coxa smooth; inner marginal seta absent; there is on posterior surface a row of strong spines (5 in number) at the distal margin of the segment, and a group of minute spinules about the middle of the segment; the 2nd exopodal segment has a very short outer edge spine and a transversal row of minute spinules on posterior surface; yje 3rd exopodal segment has 3 rows of minute spinules on posterior surface; terminal spine very finely serrated; the 2nd and 3rd endopodal segments each furnished with longitudinal rows of spinules on posterior surface.
