Bradford & J.B. Jillett in Mem. N.Z. oceanogr. Inst., 86, 1980. [p.45, Fig.28]. Female: A, habitus (lateral left side); B, idem (dorsal); C, genital segment (lateral left side); D, idem (lateral right side); E, idem (dorsal); F, basipod 1 of P4. Nota: The south-west Pacific specimens agree more closely with E. speciosa Grice & Hulsemann, 1968 than with E. venusta.

issued from : J.C. von Vaupel Klein in Crustaceana, Supplt 9, Studies on Copepoda, III, 1984. [p.76, Fig.14, b]. Female: b, exopodite 2 of Mxp (with 3 setae). Scale bar = 0.2 mm.
issued from : J.C. von Vaupel Klein in Crustaceana, Supplt 9, Studies on Copepoda, III, 1984. [p.84, Fig.18, a, j, l]. Female: a, number and structure of spines among the lateral margin of exopodal segments 1, 2 and 3 of P1 (left appendage, posteriotr view) (note: 3 unequal spines, the proximal two largely smooth, the distal one minutely pectinate (corresponding to exopodites 1, 2 and 3 respectively); j, stage in fusion of endopodal segments 1-2+3 of P2 (right leg, anterior face, drawn from posterior) (note: fully coalesced condition; l, lateral margin of exopodal segment 2 of P2 (left appendage, posterior view). Scale bars: p = 0.2 mm for l; q = 0.2 mm for a and j.

issued from : G.D. Grice & K. Hulsemann in Pacif. Sci., 1968, 22 (3). [p.326, Figs.14-19]. Female (from SE Pacific): 14, habitus (dorsal); 15, anterior end of head (lateral); 16, 4th and 5th thoracic segments (left lateral view); 17, idem (right lateral view); 18, A2; 19, 1st basipodal segment of P4. Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment fused, 4th and 5th fused. Head witout crest. Genital segment asymmetrical, in dorsal view right side smooth, left side with 2 small swellings. One-pointed rostrum, directed downward. A1 24-segmented (segments 8 and 9 fused), reaching caudal rami. Endopod of A2 about 1/4 of exopo; outer lobe of terminal segment of endopod with 5, inner lobe with 4 setae. Endopod of P1 1-segmented, exopod 2-segmented with 3 straight external spines. Endopod of P2 1-segmented, exopod 3-segmented. Endopods and exopods of P3 and P4 3-segmented. Posterior surface of 1st basipodal segment of P4 with 2 rather strong, unequal spines.

issued from : J.C. von Vaupel Klein in Crustaceana, Supplt 9, Studies on Copepoda, III, 1984. [p.69, Fig.9, b]. Female: b, setal armature on the posterior face of the 1st inner lobe of basipodal segment 1 of left Mx1 (3 setae, numbered 1 to 3 in a proximal to distal order to compare other species, here seta 4 absent contrary in E. rostrata). Scale bar: 0.1 mm.
Euchirella speciosa female: 1 - Genital segment asymmetrical. 2 - Crest absent. 3 - Genital segment with left lateral side swelled (dorsal view). 4 - Coxopodite of P4 with 2 spines. 5 - Endopodal segment 1 of Md without seta. 6 - Endopodal segment 2 of A2 with 5 setae on external lobe and 4 setae on internal lobe. 7 - Genital segment in dorsal view left side with 2 small projections (bilobated).
issued from : J.C. von Vaupel Klein in Crustaceana, Supplt 9, Studies on Copepoda, III, 1984. [p.68, Fig.8, l]. Euchirella speciosa: Structure and setal complement of endopod 1 of Md (right, posterior). A very minute setal vestige (arrow), as in Euchirella messinensis).
issued from : J.C. von Vaupel Klein in Crustaceana, Supplt 9, Studies on Copepoda, III, 1984. [p.68, Fig.8, o]. Euchirella speciosa: Accessory setae on endopodite 2 of Md (right appendage in posterior view). No accessory setae, only the regular terminal row of 9 setae present.
