N-C1); Vives & Shmeleva, 2010 (p.137, figs.F,M, Rem.) | issued from : S. Ohtsuka, R. Huys & G.A. Boxshall in Zool. Sc., 1992, 9. [p.873, Fig.10]. Male (from Sars collection, Norway): A, rostrum and A1 (geniculation indicated by an arrowhead); B, A1 (segments 2 to 8; distal margin of sheath on segment 7 indicated by arrowheads, aesthetascs omitted; dorsal); C, A1 (segments 2 to 8; distal margin of sheath on segment 7 indicated by arrowheads; ventral); D, P5 (anterior); E, P6 (anterior). Nota: A1 13-segmented (segmental fusion pattern and station pattern in Table 1). Legs of P5 separate, intercoxal sclerite lacking; leg comprising compound protopodal segment with outer basal seta and 2 setae on inner distal margin (representing endopod armature; endopod completely incorporated into compound protopodal segment with no vestige of suture); exopod 2-segmented, proximal segment with seta on outer margin, distal segment produced into spinous process at outer distal angle, distal margin armed with long outer seta, bilaterally serrate spine and shorter, naked, inner angle seta; all segments with surface and marginal ornamentation of fine spinules. P6: a transverse plate closing off genital aperture on each side, armed with 2 setae and ornamented with spinular row along free margin.

issued from : S. Ohtsuka, R. Huys & G.A. Boxshall in Zool. Sc., 1992, 9. [p.870, Table 1]. Armatures of A1. Number of antennulary segment of ancestral copepod represented by Roman numeral; number of setae on the segment represented by Arabic numeral: a+b = (number of anterior setae) + (number of posterior setae). ae: aesthetasc; proc: spinous process derived from modification of setal element.

issued from : G.A. Boxshall in Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond., 1982, B- 297 (1086). [Pl.3, Fig.32]. 32, Lateral view of the pleural region of 2nd to 4th pedigerous somites. The poorly developed surface ornamentation of fine lamellae can be seen. The positions of oar-shaped sensillae are marked by arrows. Scale bar 0.010 mm.
