| | | | | | Syn.: | Gaetanus curvirostris : Grice & Hülsemann, 1967 (p.15, lapsus calami ) | | | Ref.: | | | Sars, 1905 b (p.11, Rem.F); Wolfenden, 1908 (p.32); 1925 (p.55, fig.F); Rose, 1933 a (p.100, fig.F); Jespersen, 1934 (p.61); Sewell, 1947 (p.58, 67, figs.F); Vervoort, 1952 e (n°46, p.3, fig.F); Park, 1975 a (p.10); Bradford & Jillett, 1980 (p.48); Markhaseva, 1980 (p.628); 1996 (p.195, figs.F); Vives & Shmeleva, 2007 (p.577, figs.F,M, Rem.) | Issued from: G.O. Sars in Résult. Camp. Scient. Prince Albert I, 69, pls.1-127 (1924). [Pl.XVII, fig.2]. Female: 2, habitus (lateral left side).

issued from : R.B.S. Sewell in The John Murray Expedition, 1933-34, Scientific Reports, VIII (1), 1947. [p.68 , Fig.12]. Female (from N Arabian Sea): A, Mx1; B, basal segment of Mxp; C, P1; D, P2; E, basal segment of P4. Nota: Proportional lengths of the anterior and posterior regions of the body as 75 to 25. The proportional lengths of the segments of the body (cephalon to caudal rami) as 52:72:64:110:85:38:38:30:38 = 1000. The line of fusion of the head and the 1st pedigerous segment is clearly visible across the dorsal aspect. Spines on the 5th thoracic segment are long and slender, and reach back for about 3/4 the length of the genital segment. The posterior margins of the abdominal segments are devoid of any row of spines. A1 (24-segmented) over-reaches the posterior end of the body by about the last 3 segments. Basal segment of Mxp with crest-like, witout hook-like process.
|
Gaetanus curvicornis female: 1 - Anterior part of cephalon with frontal spine. 2 - Endopodal segments 1 of A2 with 1 seta, segment 2 with 3 setae. 2nd internal lobe of Mx1 with 5 setae. 3 - Exopodal segment 1 of P1 clearly 3-segmented; exopodal segment 1 with 3 external spines. Lateral plate of Mxp protopodite well developed. 4 - Spines of last thoracic segment straight, situated in about the middle of the posterior border of last thoracic segment (lateral view). 4 - Frontal spine directed straight forward and curved to rostrum by its top only.
