Espèce Corycaeus (Ditrichocorycaeus) subulatus - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesissued from : M.S. Wilson in Proc. U.S. Nat. Mus., 1949, 99, 3239. [Pl.18]. As Corycaeus americanus.
Female (from beaufort Inlet, Texas coast): 1-2, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); 3, terminal portion of caudal ramus (dorsal); 4, detail of abdomen and 5th thoracic segment with P5 (lateral); 5, P4; 5a, detail of terminal portion of exopodal segment 3 of P4; 6, P2 (terminal portion of exopodal segment 3, with detail of apex of inner terminal spine); 8, A2.
Nota: Eyes small. Metasome 70 ù of the total length of the body. Head and 1st thoracic segment more or less distinctly separated. Wing of 3rd thoracic segment acutely pointed, reaching just beyond the middle of the genital segment in dorsal view, inside margin with a spinous point near the middle. Urosome 30 % of total length of body. Genital segment about twice the length of the anal; caudal rami longer longer than both segments combined; proportional length of segments (lateral view) about 22:11:44.

Male: 7, A2; 9, P1 (terminal portion of exopodal segment 3); 10, genital flap (ventral); 11, genital segment and 5th thoracic segment with P5 (lateral); 12-13, habitus (lateral and dorsal, respectively); 14, terminal portion of caudal ramus (dorsal).
Nota: Proportions of metasomen to urosome about 73:27. Head and 1st thoracic segments more or less discernible. Wing of 3rd thoracic segment reaching to about the middle of the genital segment, without a spinous point as in female. Eyes larger than those of female.

Remarks: This species occurred in the Beaufort and Gulf of Mexico collections with Corycaeus amazonicus.
