Heron, 1977 (p.65, Descr.F, figs.F); Heron & al., 1984 (p.456, 470, Descr.M, figs.M); Bradford-Grieve & al., 1999 (p.887, 970, figs.F,M); Heron & Frost, 2000 (p.1042, figs.F, tab.2, 3)
Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1041, Fig.14, I].
Female (from NE Pacific): I, pediger 4 posterior corner, segment of P5 and genital segment (lateral; scale bar: x).
Scale bars: 0.1 mm, see figures 3, 4, 5, 10 of Heron and Frost, 2000 for Oncaea canadensis and Oncaea insolita.

Nota: The P5 of O. parila and O. notopus, both with the lengths of the two terminal setae being approximately equal, display one of the characters useful in distinguishing each of them from other similar species. O. notopus differs from O. parila by a greater size and the relatively longer spines on exopods and endopods of P1-P4.

Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 2 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1022, Fig.2, C].
Female: P2-P4 endopod terminal ''spine set'' (combination of the lengths, shapes, and position of the three or two terminal spines on the endopods of swimming legs 2-4, from left to right in figure, for different Oncaea' species).

Nota: endopod of P4 with subterminal spine half the length of terminal spine and lateral spine longer than P3 terminal spine.

Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 3 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron in Antarct. Res. Ser. Washington, 1977, 26. [p.67, Fig.18, j-r].
Female (from SW Pacific-Antarctic area): j, habitus (lateral; scale bar: X); k, posterior of last prosomal segment and urosome (lateral; scale bar: Y); l, urosome (dorsal; scale bar: Y); m, left A2 (scale bar: Y); n, labrum (scale bar: Z); o, left Md (scale bar: Z); p, right Mx1 (scale bar: Z); q, right Mx2 (scale bar: Z); r, left Mxp (scale bar: Y).

Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 4 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron in Antarct. Res. Ser. Washington, 1977, 26. [p.69, Fig.19, a-f].
Female: a-d, P1 to P4 (scale bar: Y); e, P5 (scale bar: Z, for a specimen: 0.65 mm); f, P5 (scale bar: Z, for a specimen: 0.63 mm).

Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 5 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron, T.S. English & D.M. Damkaer in J. Crustacean Biol., 1984, 4 (3). [p.469, Fig.11, J-K].
Male (from Arctic): J, habitus (lateral; scale bar: v); K, posterior of last prosomal segment and urosome (lateral; scale bar: w).

Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 6 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron, T.S. English & D.M. Damkaer in J. Crustacean Biol., 1984, 4 (3). [p.471, Fig.12, A-C].
Male: A, posterior of last prosomal segment and urosome (dorsal; scale bar: w); B, right Mxp (scale bar: x); C, P5 (scale bar: x).

Espèce Oncaea parila - Planche 7 de figures morphologiquesIssued from : O. Tanaka in Spec. Publs. Seto mar. biol. Lab., 10, 1960 [Pl. XXXII, 1-6]. As Oncaea notopus.
Female (from 66°59'S-67°04'S, 41°08'E-40°53'E): 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, last thoracic segments and abdomen (lateral); 3, A1.
Nota: Cephalothorax and abdomen in the proportional lengths 68 to 32.
Abdominal segments and caudal rami in the proportional lengths 50 : 14 : 7 : 15 : 14 = 100.
Genital segment 1.6 times as long as wide, swollen at the middle section.
Caudal rami twice as long as wide.
