Fiche d'espèce de Copépode
Cyclopoida ( Ordre )
    Oncaeidae ( Famille )
        Triconia ( Genre )
Triconia redacta  (Heron & Bradford-Grieve, 1995)   (F,M)
Syn.: Oncaea conifera : Farran, 1936 a (p.127, figs.F: form c); Bradford, 1972 (part., p.50); O. conifera : Moulton, 1973 (p.147 & suiv.:'minus');
Oncaea redacta : Heron & Bradford-Grieve, 1995 (p.29, figs.F, non M); Heron & Frost, 2000 (p.1032, Redescr.M, figs.M, tab.2, 3)
Ref.:
Böttger-Schnack, 1999 (p.43, Rem.); Nishibe & Ikeda, 2004 (p.931, Tab. 2, 4, 5); Wi & al., 2012 (p.857: Table 3).
Espèce Triconia redacta - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1033, Fig.9]. As Oncaea redacta.
Male (from NE Pacific): A, habitus (lateral; scale bar: t); B, forehead (dorsal; scale bar: x); C, pediger 4 posterior corner and urosome (dorsal; scale bar: t); D, left Mxp (scale bar: x); E, P5 (scale bar: x).
Scale bars: 0.1 mm, see figures 3, 4, 5, 10 of Heron and Frost, 2000 for Oncaea canadensis and Oncaea insolita.

Nota: Body with scattered refractile points associated with pores. Pediger 1-4 segments covered with minute refractile points. Anterior border of cephalosome with 3 anterodorsal sclerotized ridges which appear to each support the opening for a large pore or duct. Prosome length aboiut btwice that of urosome. Pediger 4 with acute angle of lateroposterior corner. Genital segment length about twice that of remainder of urosome. Caudal ramus length about equal to that of anal segment. Mxp 2nd segment conspicuously expanded with anterior row of small estules and a number of refractile points; 2 setae within longitudinal vleft; inner posterior rim with 3 rows of spatulate setules of graduated lengths; terminal claw with narrow element near inner base. Swimming legs as in female.
Rem: The males differ from those of O. similis (= T. similis) by having a larger size, an acute rather than rounded angle of pediger 4 lateroposterior corner, and the basal seta of P5 shorter than the inner, longer of the 2 terminal setae.

Espèce Triconia redacta - Planche 2 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1021, Fig.1, D]. As Oncaea redacta.
Female: P2-P4 endopod terminal ''spine set'' (combination of the lengths, shapes, and position of the three or two terminal spines on the endopods of swimming legs 2-4 for different Oncaea' species).

Nota: endopod of P2 with subterminal spine lengths about equal, both shorter than lateral spine.

Espèce Triconia redacta - Planche 3 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron & J.M. Bradford-Grieve in New Zealand Oceanogr. Inst. NIWA. Memoir 104. NIWA, 1995. [p.30, Fig.11]. As Oncaea redacta
Female (from 45°127'N, 141°48'W): b, habitus (lateral) [r]; c, habitus (dorsal) [x]; d, urosome (dorsal) [r]; e, left A1 [s]; f, left A2 [s]; g, labrum (ventral) [u]; h, right Md [u]; i, Mx1 [u].

Scale bars: See p.13, fig.2. Letter in brackets.

Espèce Triconia redacta - Planche 4 de figures morphologiquesissued from : G.A. Heron & J.M. Bradford-Grieve in New Zealand Oceanogr. Inst. memoir 104. NIWA, 1995. [p.31, Fig.12]. As Oncaea redacta.
Female: a, left Mx2 [t]; b, left Mxp [s]; c, P1 [v]; d, P2 [v]; e, P3 [v]; f, P4 [v]; g, P5 [s].

Male: h-i, habitus (lateral and dorsal, respectively) [r]; j, left Mxp (anterior view) [s].
Scale bars: See p.13, fig.2. Letter in brackets.

Rem.: Heron & Frost (2000, p.1017) do not agree that the generic definition of Triconia by Böttger-Schnack (1999) is sufficient to justify inclusion of all of the divergent species she assigned to the new genus.
After Wi & al. (2012, p.858), Heron & Bradford-Grieve (1995, p.29) synonymized Farran's conifera form c with T. redacta, however, some morphological features, such as the form of the pleural area of the 4th pedigerous somite figured by Farran, appear to be more similat to T. pararedacta.
