Female (from Turkish coast, N Levantine Basin): 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, urosome (dorsal); 3, habitus (lateral); 4, A1; 5, A2; 6, Md; 7, Mx1; 8, Mx2; 9, Mxp; 10, P1; 11, P2; 12, P3; 13, P4; 14, P5; 15, rostrum. Nota: Cephalosome without hooks. 4th and 5th pediger somites fused, posterolateral corners pointed and symmetrical, reaching about midway the genital complex. Ratio urosomite segments and caudal rami 37:48:15 = 100. Caudal rami symmetrical, 3.5 times as long as wide. A1 17-segmented Male: 16, habitus (dorsal); 17, idem (lateral); 18, urosome (dorsal); 19, rostrum; 20, right A1; 21, P5 (L = left leg, R = right leg). Nota: Ratio urosomites and caudal rami 18:17:19:16:14:16 = 100. Caudal rami 2.8 times as long as wide. P5 asymmetrical, left and right legs 3- and 4- segmented, respectively.

Calanopia levantina. Female: 1 - P5 exopod 1-segmented. 2 - Exopod of P5 with 2 spines. 3 - Exopodal segment of P5 with 2 spines (lateral very short and long terminal one). Male: 1 - left P5 longer than right one; basis of left P5 swollen proximally. 2 - 2nd exopodal segment of right P5 nearly 2/3 length of 1st exopodal segment; coxa of right P5 about 1.7 times as long as basis. 3 - Basis of left P5 swollen proximally and produced into a small spine; 2nd exopodal segment of P5 short; 3rd exopodal segment of right P5 without medial process.
