Monstrillopsis coreensis  Lee, Kim & Chang, 2016   (M)
Ref.:
Lee J. & al., 2016 (p.416, Descr. M, figs. M, Rem.)
Espèce Monstrillopsis coreensis - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesIssued from : J. Lee, D. Kim & C.Y. Chang in Zootaxa, 2016, 4174 (1). [p.473, Fig. 4].
Male (from Busan, S Korea): A-B, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); C, P1; D, P3.
Scale bars 200 µm (A-B); 50 µm (C-D).

Nota:
- Cephalothorax accounting for 46.7 % of body length. Band of transverse striations inconspicuous and narrow, present from anterior 40 % to 51 % of dorsal surface, reaching lateral surface but absent ventrally.
- Lateral cups of nauplius eye situated close to each other, weakly pigmented; ventral cup a litthe larger than lateral ones.
- Oral papilla small, not protruding, located about 1/3 (33.7 %) of way back along ventral midline of cephalothorax.
- Urosome 5-segmented §5th pedigerous somite, genital somite, 3 postgenital somites (including anal somite)
- 5th pedigerous somite small, limbless, ornamented with strong oblique wrinkles on lateral surface. All 3 postgenital somites incompletely separated dorsally, lacking conspicuous transverse sutures between them.
- Anal somite trapezoidal.

Espèce Monstrillopsis coreensis - Planche 2 de figures morphologiquesIssued from : J. Lee, D. Kim & C.Y. Chang in Zootaxa, 2016, 4174 (1). [p.418, Fig. 5].
Male: A, anterior part of cephalothorax (ventral) with oral papilla visible; B-C, urosome (lateral and ventral, respectively) with genital apparatus; D, left A1 (ventral) with setal element labeled on the 1st to 4th segments according to Grygier & Ohtsuka's (1995) nomemclature, and on the apical segment according to Huys & al.'s (2001) notayion. Arrow indicates 1 setule on inner proximal corner of the last segment.
Scale bars = 100 µm.

Nota:
- Caudal rami divergent, about 1.3 times longer than wide, with inner margin strongly concave and posterolateral corner thickly sclerotized; furnished with 4 subequal setae.
- A1 equal to 34.3 % of total body length and 73.5 % of cephalothorax length; 5-segmented (length ratio of segments 5.8 : 27.6 : 13.5 : 26.9 : 26.3 = 100); geniculate between 4th and 5th segments, armed with one claw-like, spinous seta distally.
- Genital lappets confluent at base anterior to genital openings and membranous operculum, strongly undulate and relatively short, their tips almost reaching anterior margin of anal somite; proximal half of each lappet slightly swollen laterally, distal half curved inward, with round tip.

Espèce Monstrillopsis coreensis - Planche 3 de figures morphologiquesIssued from : J. Lee, D. Kim & C.Y. Chang in Zootaxa, 2016, 4174 (1). [p.420].
Male: Armature of the swimming legs P1 to P4.

Rem.: For Lee J. & al. (2016, p.420) this species resembles M. longilobata, but differs by the lappets much shorter, with strong undulations, barely reaching to the anterior margin of anal somite, and other chatacters. Also, male genitalia with a relatively short median shaft with its posterolateral corners extended as elongate lappets belong subgroup ''Type II'' (Suarez-Morales & McKinnon, 2014). The male genital apparatus is largely horseshoe-shaped with moderatrly long lappets, most similar to M. chathamensis; however, M. coreensis, with its undulating lappets , differs from M. chathamensis, which in contrast has a strong distal spinous process on each lateral lappet.
