Nota: Gnathobase of Md with 3 cusped teeth, ventralmost tooth large and dorsalmost tooth bifid at tip; basis of mandibular palp fringed with a row of setules along inner margin; basal endites lacking; endopod represented by rudimentary bulbous segment with 2 setae of unequal lengths; exopod 5-segmented, 1st to 4th segments each with 1 seta, 5th with 2 setae.
Mx1 with praecoxal arthrite bearing 5 spines and one process; coxal endite unarmed, coxal epipodite with 8 plumose setae; endopod 1-segmented, bulbous, with 2 small setae of unequal lengths; exopod 1-segmented, fan-like, with 3 long setae terminally.
1st and 2nd praecoxal endites of Mx2 with 1 and 2 setae (1 seta missing in fig.2E) respectively; each coxal endite with 2 setae; basal endite with 1 naked stout spine; endopod 4-segmented, 1st to 4th segments with 1, 3, 2, 2 setae, respectively.
Syncoxa of Mxp with 1 medial and 2 subterminal setae and a patch of long spinules; basis fused with 1st endopodal segment (allobasis), ornamented with 2 patches of spinules and bearing 2 basal and 1 endopodal setae of unequal lengths, 2nd, 3rd and 6th endopod segments each with 4 setae, 4th and 5th with 3 setae.

Remarques

After Ohtsuka & al. (1994, p.138) the fusion pattern of the antennulary segments is slightly different from the male of P. japonica in which segments WWI and XXII are incompletely fused whereas segments XXIII and XXIV are separate.
