Espèce Euaugaptilus facilis - Planche 12 de figures morphologiquesissued from : J.B.L. Matthews in Bull. Br. Mus. (Nat. Hist.) Zool., 1972, 24 (1). [p.20, Fig.9, A-C].
Male (from 28°07'N, 14°07'W): A, habitus (dorsal); B, Part of A1 showing geniculate joint; C, P5 (posterior view).
A: scale I; B-C: scale II.

Nota: Prosome length 2.9 times greatest width.
Head and thoracic segment 1 fused.
A1 exceeding the body by not more than the last 3 segments; There is some fusion of segments in the right-hand one [ on the left side in the keys of Bradford-Grieve & al., 1999 and Vives & Shmeleva, 2007] ) that it consists of only 22 free segments. The 18th segment opossesses the geniculate joint, which is a fairly simple structure. The only associated modifications are a spinose projection lying close to the segment just distal to the joint and a seta on each of the three preceding segments which has been shortened and strengthened into a spine.
A2 is a little stouter than shown by Sars (1924-1925) for the female, but is structurally identical.
Md: manduibular gnathobase identical to Sars' figure for the female, but the setae on the palp, of there is one fewer on the endopodite, are longer than the female's.
Mx1: identical to that of the female, except that it has a fourth well developed seta on the exopodite.
Mx2 and Mxp: identical to those of the female.
Swimming legs P1 to P4 resemble those of the female very closely. The number of spines on the exopodite of P1 reduced (as in the female), and the exopodites of P3 and P4 bear just the same swellings at the distal outer corner of the 2nd and 3rd segments (as characteristic of the female).
P5: On the right-hand limb the spiny projection at the tip is a little longer than the terminal spine (their position appears reversed in Fig.9C due to curling of the ramus in the mounted specimen).
