Euaugaptilus latifrons (Sars, 1907) (F) | |
| | | | | | Syn.: | Augaptilus latifrons Sars, 1907 (p.22, Descr.F) | | | Ref.: | | | Sars, 1925 (p.295, figs.F); Sewell, 1932 (p.323, figs.F); Lysholm & al., 1945 (p.38); Sewell, 1947 (p.197, 198, 199, 201, 232); Vervoort, 1965 (p.144, Rem.); Owre & Foyo, 1967 (p.86, figs.F, Rem.); Matthews, 1972 (p.34); Tanaka & Omori, 1974 (p.227, figs.F); Ali-Khan & Ali-Khan, 1984 (p.305, figs.F, Rem.); Roe, 1975 (p.353, figs.F); Bradford-Grieve & al., 1999 (p.882, 940, figs.F); Vives & Shmeleva, 2007 (p.222, figs.F, Rem.) | issued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.228, Fig.16]. Female: a, forehead (lateral); b, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral left side); c, idem (dorsal); d, Md; e, Mx1; f, Mx2; g, Mxp; h, P1; i, exopod of P2; j, P5. Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 41:11:25:23 = 100. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 77:23 A1 reaches to the tip of the furca. The specimen from the Izu region differs in some details from Sars's (1925) and Sewell's (1932) descriptions. A specimen from the Gulf of Guinea , provided by Vervoort, has 26 setae on the 2nd basal segment and the endopod of Mx2, the two basal segments of Mxp have 0, 0, 2, 2 and 2 setae.

issued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.198, Fig.1,l]. Female: l, mandibular teeth.
Issued from : G.O. Sars in Résult. Camp. Scient. Prince Albert I, 69, pls.1-127 (1924). [Pl.CI, figs.1-14]. Female: 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, idem (lateral left side); 3, forehead (lateral); 4, rostral prominence; 5, A2; 6, Md; 7, Mx1; 8, Mx2; 9, Mxp; 10, P1; 11, P2; 12, P3; 13, P5; 14, posterior part of urosome.
Issued from : R.B.S. Sewell in Mem. Indian Mus., 1932, X (continued). [p.324, Fig.106]. Female (from off W Sri Lanka): a, habitus (dorsal); b, urosome (dorsal); c, Md; d, Mx1; e, Mxp; f, P1; g, P2; h, P5.
issued from : S. Ali-Khan & J. Ali-Khan in Crustaceana, 1984, 47 (3). [p;306, Figs.13-20]. Female (from 24°09'N, 64°27'E): 13, forehead (ventral); 14, Md (mandibular palp); 15, Md (biting edge); 16, Mx1; 17, Mx2; 18, terminal portion of seta (enlarged; 19, P1; 20, P5. Nota: Exopod of A2 about 1/3 of the length of the endopod as in Sars (1925), while Sewell (1932) stated that it resches halfway. There is incomplete fusion of only segments 7 and 8 of the exopod (as in Sars' specimen). Internal lobe 1 of Mx1 with 3 + 3 setae (Sars shows 3 + 2, and Sewell 3+ 1); lobes 2 and 3 absent; external lobe show 3 setae (as in Sewell's figure, but Sars depicted 4). The greatest difference has been noted in the total number of setae on basipod 2 and endopod of Mx2 together: 22 (Sewell's figure shows 35 and Sars's 15).

Nota: The urosome segments and furca are in the proportional lengths as 41:11:25:23 = 100. Prosome and urosome are in the proportional lengths as 77:23 A1 reaches to the tip of the furca.
