Paraeuchaeta alaminae (Park, 1975) (F) | |
| | | | | | Syn.: | Euchaeta alaminae Park, 1975 c (p.23, Descr.F, figs.F) | | | Ref.: | | | Bradford & al., 1983 (p.20); Park, 1994 (p.322); 1995 (p.65, Rem.F, figs.F) | issued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 1995, 29. [p.171, Fig.61]; a, forehead (left side); b, urosome (left); c, genital somite (left); d, outer lobe of Mx1; e, P1 (anterior); f, P2 (anterior).

issued from : T. Park in Smiths. Contr. Zool., 1975, 196. [p.23, Fig.20]. As Euchaeta alaminae. Female (from 20°41'N, 84°17'W): a, forehead (lateral); b, genital segment (left side); c, same (ventral); d, same (right side); e, outer lobe of Mx1; f, P1 (anterior); g, exopod of P2 (anterior). Nota: A1 reaching distal end of prosome. Outer coxal lobe of Mx1 with 5 long setae. None of 6 apical setae of Mx2 provided with long, widely separated spines in addition to fine spinules. First two exopodal segments of P1 fused. External spine of 1st segment minute, that of 2nd segment short of reaching middle of 3rd segment. Endopod of P2 1-segmented. External spines of exopodal segments well developed, that of 2nd segment being the largest; incision posterior to 2nd external spine of 3rd segment not unusually deep. Dorsally, genital segment symmetrical, with lateral sides moderately swollen at the middle. Laterally, dorsal side of genital segment markedly convex close to proximal end. Genital prominence high, occupying about middle of segment. Anterior side of genital prominence highly convex and posterior side nearly perpendicular to ventral wall of segment. Laterally, genital flange appearing like a three-lobed structure. Ventrally, genital flange with a large posterior lobe extending medially. Viewed laterally, posterior edge of genital field produced posteriorly to form a low ridge midway on posterior side of genital prominence. Appendicular caudal setae geniculated, not thicker than other caudal setae.

Paraeuchaeta alaminae Female: 1 - See key to species Groups and independent species of Paraeuchaeta (p.30): malayensis species Group. 2 - Outer spine of 2nd exopodal segment of P1 short of reaching middle of following segment (Fig.61-e). 3 - Laterally, dorsal margin of genital somite broadly arched (Fig.61-c). 4 - Laterally, genital flange appearing trilobed (Fig.61-c).
