Paraeuchaeta plaxiphora  Park, 1995   (F)
Park, 1994 (p.320); 1995 (p.51, Descr.F, figs.F)
Espèce Paraeuchaeta plaxiphora - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesissued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 1995, 29. [p.152, Fig.42].
Female: a, forehead (left side); b, urosome (left side); c-d, genital somite (left and right sides, respectively); e, outer lobe of Mx1; f, P1 (anterior); g, P2 (anterior).

Nota: Similar in habitus to P. euryrhina but different form it.
Laterally, anterior margin of rostrum straight up to suprafrontal sensilla, posterior margin slightly bulging close to proximal end.
Genital somite relatively short with relatively high prominence, with a depth-length ratio 100:118. Dorsal hump of genital somite located just posterior to middle. A small ridge on anterior margin of genital prominence. Genital flange relatively large, its ventral margin nearly straight or slightly emarginate and its posterior lobe large. measured along posterior margin, genital flange as high as rest of prominence. Posterior edge of genital field produced into a relatively small conical process. Posterior margin of genital prominence sloping about 60° with respect to long body axis and smoothly curving to posterior ventral wall of somite, which is about 3 times length of sloping posterior margin of prominence.
Cephalosomal appendages similar to those of P. euryrhina, but outer lobe of Mx1 with 9 setae (as in P. malayensis).
Swimming legs also similar to those of P. euryrhina except that outer spine of 1st exopodal segment of P1 better developed.

Espèce Paraeuchaeta plaxiphora - Planche 2 de figures morphologiquesParaeuchaeta plaxiphora Female:
1 - See key to species Groups and independent species of Paraeuchaeta (p.30): malayensis species Group.
2 - Outer spine of 2nd exopodal segment (or the 2nd of the first 2 exopodal segments forming a proximal, compound segment) of P1 normally developed (Fig.42-f).
3 - Outer lobe of Mx1 with 7 large distal setae extending laterad and 2 medium-sized, densely plumose proximal setae extending proximad along lateral side of appendage (Fig.42-e).
4 - Genital segment without 2 conspicuous conical processes on left side at anterior base of genital prominence (Fig.42-c).
5 - Laterally, rostrum triangular with wide base (Fig.42-a).
6 - Laterally, posterior ventral wall of genital somite about parallel to long axis of somite (Fig.42-c).
