For Derissio, Ramirez & Manzan (2011, p.1659), after examination of new specimens from the same location (coastal waters off Mar del Plata) described earlier by Ramirez (1966) Pontella marplatensis is a synonym of Pontella patagoniensis (Lubbock, 1853). For Rosa J.C.L. & Monteiro-Ribas (2012), the occurrence friom P. marplatensis (= P. patagoniensis) might have been introduce to the coast of Espirito Santo, particularly at Arrial do Cabo Bay, from ballast water of ships. In surface, the water temperature was 20.4°C and the salinity 35.4 psu, the number of individuals was 10 by m3. | | | Last update : 21/06/2023 | |
