hyperbenthic (± 1800 m). For Alvarez (1986, p.862) the synonymy with Comantenna crassa cannot be retained on the contrary to Bradford & Jillett (1980). The two species are similar, differing only in the number of setae on the following appendages: A2 endopod, Md palp, Mx1, and 1st and 2nd basipods of Mxp. Compare the selected characters of the different species in Comantenna females in Markhaseva & al. (2017 a,, Table 1, p.29).
