Female (from 25°28'S, 44°57'W): 12-13, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); 14, urosome (dorsal); 15, genital complex (ventral); 16, A1; 17, A2. Nota: A1 23-segmented, 2nd segment with long aesthetasc. A2 exopod shorter than endopod with 3 terminal setae, 1 shorter than others.

issued from : M.P.J. Alvarez in J. Crustacean Biol., 1986, 614. [p.864, Figs.18-24]. Female: 18, Md (masticatory edge); 19, Md (mandibular palp); 20, Mx1; 21, Mx2; 22, 5th lobe of Mx2; 23, Mxp; 24, P1. Nota: Mx1 with 3 setae on each 2nd and 3rd inner lobes. Mx2 with 1 very thick spine on 5th lobe, this spine with row of about 36 very thin, long, narrowly spaced setules, followed by very short setules. On each of 2 long setae of 4th lobe comblike row of similar setules, in greater number than those of spine of 5th lobe; on lobes 1-4 tuft of spinules ventrally. 1st basipod of Mxp with 9 setae and 1 truncate aesthetasc.

Comantenna recurvata female: 1 - Endopod of P1 external lobe absent (very reduced). Basipodite without seta near endopod base. 2 - Posterior corner of right thoracic segment shorter than left (dorsal view). Protopodite of Mxp with 2 setae in distal group; endopodal segment 1 with 2 medial setae. Endopodal segment 2 of Md with 5 setae.
