Female (specimens from NW Pacif.). Ce: forehead (lateral); Abd: urosome (dorsal).

: Nota: Cephalothorax 4 times longer than urosome.
Rostrum small.
A1 reaching the end of urosomal segment 2.
A2 with long exopod and small endopod that is less than half length of exopodal segment 2; coxopodite, basipodite and endopodal segment 1 with 1 seta each.
Genital segment with wide round swelling in anterior part of left side and depressed in its midlength on the right.
Exopodal segment 1 of P1 with 2 external spines equal in length.

Female (from NE Pacific): 42, forehead (lateral); 43, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral).

Nota : Low crest on the forehead. Rostrum small. Genital segment asymmetrical (in dorsal view), with a depression on the right side and a stout protuberance on the left side. A1 reach about to the caudal rami.

Female: 44, basipod of P4; 45, urosome (dorsal); 46, 2nd endopodal segment of A2; 47, A2.
Endopod of A2 about 2/5 the length of exopod ; last segment of endopod with 11 setae. 1st basal segment of P4 with 2 or 3 prominent spines on the inner border.

Male (with doubt in this species): 48, P5.
Nota : Urosome symmetrical, with a very short anal segment that is divided longitudinally. Right P5 with a well developed chela, the outer claw formed by the exopod and the inner claw by the endopod. Left P5 with an extremely rudimentary endopod, so that it appears almost uniramous, the le gis short, somewhat longer than the two segments of the basipod of the right leg.

Euchirella pseudopulchra: a, Setal armature of endopodte 2+3 of A2. Conditions are expressed are expressed in formulae as follows: number of setae in regular row on proximal lobe / relative development of seta in position no. 9 on this lobe / number of setae in approximately linear row on terminal lobe / relative development of appendicular seta no. 7 and its supporting pedestral (absent, vestigial, moderate or well developed: see Table I, p.87 and Table II, p.93).
upper and lower lobes = proximal and terminal lobes (details of right appendage shown in medial aspect.

Nota: Proportional length Prosome:Urosome about: 80:20.
- Viewed laterally, forehead squarish, a minute crest clearly visible dorsally or laterally.
- Rostrum small and single, pointing directly downward.
- 1st pediger separated from cephalosome by a clear line of joint, 4th and 5th pedigers fused, with posterolateral corners broadly rounded in lateral view, but angular in dorsal view.
- Dorsally, genital segment asymmetrical, with a broad, round swelling anteriorly on left side and a depression midway on right side. Dorsal wall of genital segment markedly hollow, with a low ridge anteriorly on right side. Genital swelling pronounced, occupying distal part of segment.
- A1 reaching distal end of 2nd urosomal segment.
- A2 with long exopod and small endopod, about 1/2 the length of 1st exopodal segment; 2 distal lobes of endopod, each with 6 setae.
- Mx1 with 13 setae on 1st, 4 on 2nd, and 2 on 3rd inner lobe; 3 on basis, 4 on endopod, 11 on exopod, and 6 on outer lobe.
- Mx2 with 5 lobes of approximately equal size, each bearing 3 setae, and small distal part provided with 6 setae.
- Mxp consisting of thick coxa, slender basis, and short 5-segmented endopod.

For Vaupel Klein (1984, p.43) in spite some polymorphy in both E. pseudopulchra and E. pulchra, it seems justified to distinguish between these two forms. Characters which appear to provide unambiguous reference to either species thus are presence of a crest, and presence of the group I seta on basipodite 1 of Mxp (see figure 13).
