Remarks

After Mahdupratap & Haridas (1994, p.73-74), this species differs from Acartia southwelli in some details of the P5 male and female. For the authors it is conceivable that the new species A. sarojus became isolated from the parental population in the process and speciated allopatrically or parapatrically.
