Male (from Central part of Arabian Sea): A, anal segment and caudal rami (lateral); B, Mx1; C, Mx2; D, P1; F, P5. Nota: The proportional lengths of the various segments of the body (cephalon to caudal rami) as 438:101:79:67:45:46:63:52:49:11:49 = 1000. Forehead without trace of crest. The rostrum forms a wide prominence that terminates in a pair of long slender spines. The line of demarcation between thoracic segments 4 and 5 clearly visible.Head and 1 st pediger segment separate. Both the anal segment and the caudal rami hairy on their ventral aspects. In Mx1 the number of setae on the various parts are: inner lobe 1 expanded (11 or 12 fleshy setae), inner lobe 2 in stained specimen composed of 2 segments, of which the proximal bears 1 seta and the distal 2 setae; inner lobe 3 (3 setae); basal segment 2 bears 4 setae and is fringed along its inner margin with hairs; endopod fused into a single segment and bears 3, 3, 3 setae; exopod bears 10 setae; outer lobe with 10 setae.
