Remarques

For Suarez-Morale & al. (2006, p.104), this species from the Black Sea represents an enigmatic form. The female has most of the characters of the genus (sensu Sars, 1921) except the most important: the presence of 4 caudal setae. The authors have proposed to retain this species as an aberrant form of Monstrillopsis until new confirmation.
